Warm Flank Steak Salad
It’s the end of summer and there are such beautiful foods out there that we will miss soon! So I said to myself, let’s do what we can with as many of them as we can! Beautiful heirloom tomatoes, gorgeous Vidalia onions, and I even grilled some corn and cut it over Tom’s salad. The dressing was just simply a good drizzle of some good balsamic vinegar. I suggest getting a nicer one for salad dressings. It makes all the difference in the world! This one is from Trader Joe’s!
WARM FLANK STEAK SALAD
1/2 lb flank or skirt steak
1/2 head red leaf lettuce
1 thick slice of a sweet onion (like a Vidalia)
1 heirloom tomato, sliced
good balsamic vinegar
All I did was grill my steak, onion and Tom’s corn with a bit of Janes’s Crazy Mixed Up Salt (This stuff is fabulous and amazing less sodium than regular salt!) and a quick spray of olive oil spray. I steamed an artichoke and arranged the rest of the vegetables over the lettuce and steak slices. Drizzled some aged balsamic over it all and enjoyed it immensely! Happy Labor Day Weekend!!
