I made these last night for dinner. Very tasty. The amount of seasonings made it taste like they were coated in breadcrumbs, even though they weren’t. Very good flavor for no calories. The fresh lemon is what ties it all together.
ITALIAN BAKED PORK CHOPS
4 center-cut pork chops
2 t garlic powder
2 t onion powder
1 T fresh thyme leaves, chopped
2 t dried oregano
1 T fresh parsley, finely chopped
2 T fresh lemon juice and wedges for serving
olive oil spray
salt and pepper
Season both sides of the chops with salt and pepper. Mix all the spices together in a small bowl. Spry a foil-lined baking dish with olive oil spray and sprinkle half the spices on the bottom of the dish. Add the pork chops, spray tops with olive oil spray and sprinkle the rest of the seasoning on top of them, finishing with the lemon juice. Bake at 375 for 25 minutes, depending on the thickness of the chops. Internal temperature should reach 160 degrees.
