So, first it’s best if YOU pick the restaurant. I always try to find a place that serves breakfast all day. Then I know I will be able to put together a healthy, protein-filled egg white omelette, with relatively low fat. I’m also noticing that many coffee shop/diners have turkey bacon now on the menu! And with a side of cottage cheese, you’ve got yourself a healthy meal. Ask if it’s low fat cottage cheese. If it’s not, just have a couple of bites. It’s still really excellent protein.
It may be not be as healthy as eating at home and preparing a Dukan Diet recipe but you have to try! There is a part of life that requires socialization and you’re going to need to know how to survive out there!! Go somewhere fun and you won’t notice the food so much!!
I also don’t tempt myself by going to any Mexican or Italian restaurants. Let’s face it…they’re full of carb-filled goodness, just waiting to tempt you. I’m not saying it’s impossible to go to one but it’s not easy. Asian restaurants are good choices, but you really have to watch the sodium in their food. So, choose dishes that they can serve steamed, and ask for the sauce on the side. Then you can dip, instead of swim!!
Valentine’s Day is this Friday and I’m already trying to decide what to do. I think I’ll be traveling down to Santa Monica Seafood and making a few surprises for Tom. Stay tuned!!
