Cuban Skirt Steak
Well, this is dinner tonight. I know, I know, I keep saying it but this was super good and I think everyone should try this recipe!!! It took 10 minutes to get the marinade ready, an hour to marinate, and about 6 minutes to cook. (And about 5 minutes to photograph before I could try it and it was a LONG 5 minutes!)
CUBAN SKIRT STEAK
1/3 cup fresh lime juice
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 t ground cumin
1 t dried oregano
1 t onion powder
1 t garlic powder
1/2 t chipotle chile powder
2 t lime zest
4 scallions, finely chopped
1/2 t red pepper flakes
2 T Splenda brown sugar blend or 1 t Splenda
2 lbs skirt steak
Mix all the ingredients together, put it in a ziploc baggie and let the meat marinate for a minimum of 1 hour, and up to overnight. Drain marinade and grill meat for a few minutes on each side.

I’m making this for dinner tonight. I made it for the first time a couple of week’s ago, but didn’t have all the ingredients, or much time to marinate, and it was good. Looking forward to tonight’s version with everything on hand!

Can you skirt steak in the cruise phase?
i did. i think it has a bit more fat in it, but let me check the difference…
