It may not be the prettiest dish I’ve made but it sure was a delicious one. I bought a bag of fresh cauliflower and broccoli, steamed it in the bag while I was cooking my sausages. Threw it all together in a skillet to simmer for 10 minutes and I was eating in about 25 minutes.
BROCCOLI, CAULIFLOWER AND ITALIAN TURKEY SAUSAGE
1 lb turkey Italian sausage, cooked and sliced on a bias
1 cup broccoli florets, steamed
1 cup cauliflower florets, steamed
1 can Italian diced tomatoes
1/4 cup basil leaves, torn
salt and pepper (or red pepper flakes)
In a skillet, add all ingredients and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
