Beef with Broccoli
Yesterday I went to a new Asian market that opened in my neighborhood recently. Oh my goodness, it’s my new favorite place to shop. It makes eating and making dishes like this one, super easy. First, the meat is all cut up for you so you just marinate it for a bit, or not, and throw it in the pan. Sauces are easy because all you need is some cornstarch and broth and season it however you want. Ponzu sauce is just citrus flavored soy. It makes a nice change from plain soy sauce. Ginger and garlic are staples. And stock up on Shirataki noodles. I suggest if you have an Asian market somewhere near you, give it a try if you’ve never gone in. It’s a fun experience and it will inspire you to try cooking something new. Forget the take-out Chinese and make your own! This way you know exactly what’s going into it! And more importantly, what isn’t. Happy Sunday!!
