Beef Stroganoff: The Dukan Way
How much fun is it to come home to a yummy smelling house and not have to do ANYTHING? Well, I’m probably going to bake some muffins tonight but not until I sit down and have me a nice bowl of this delicious smelling beef dish. Yum.
BEEF STROGANOFF RECIPE
1 1/2 lbs top sirloin steak, cut across grain into 1/4-inch slices
1 small onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, chopped
2 T parsley, chopped
2 T Dijon
1/2 T dried dill
1 packaged sliced mushrooms, optional depending on what day it is!
2 T cornstarch
1 cup beef broth
1 cup fat free sour cream
tofu Shirataki noodles, optional
Season meat with salt and pepper and put in a crockpot. Place cornstarch in a small bowl and slowly add broth, whisking until blended. Add dijon to broth . Add broth mixture, onions, garlic, parsley, mushrooms and dill to slow cooker. Cook covered on low for 7 to 8 hours or until steak is tender. Turn off and let stroganoff stand 10 minutes uncovered. Stir in sour cream. Serve stroganoff over yam starch noodles, if desired.






We are both on the same page today! I made some non-slow cooker beef stroganoff when I got home today with nearly all the same ingredients cept I deglazed my mush/onions a bit in marsala wine (b/c I’m addicted to the flavor) and then brought in the beef, broth, FF sour cream and noodles

That’s funny! I love Marsala as well! I try not to put things like that in my recipes because of the readers but I bet yours was better than mine! I’m actually looking forward to the Consolidation Phase so I can be more creative too! I have 3 pounds to lose by next Sat to make my goal. I think Ill get close but probably have to stay on Cruise for another week. Oh well. Thanks for reading my blog!
