So, this was my first attempt at filming myself (I forgot to do an introduction so I had to post the second attempt first!).  And it was kinda goofy but fun.  I hope you enjoy watching it–feedback is always appreciated (good or bad!).  The recipe is also fantastic–I have this on my “make again” list.  Super easy and super flavorful.

Beef In Hot Garlic Sauce

Beef In Hot Garlic Sauce

BEEF IN HOT GARLIC SAUCE

1 1/2 lbs skirt steak
1 10 oz bag of spinach
5 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup red wine
1/2 cup beef broth
1 t oyster sauce
2 t low sodium soy sauce
1/2 t Splenda
1-2 t red pepper flakes
1 T cornstarch mixed with 1 T water

Grill beef in a grill pan with a bit of cooking spray for about 4 minutes on each side.  Remove and set aside.  Add the spinach and garlic to the pan and saute in a bit of cooking spray for 2-3 minutes, or until wilted.  In small bowl, mix wine, broth oyster and soy sauces, Splenda and red pepper flakes and pour mixture over garlic.  Add beef back to the pan and stir in the cornstarch mixture.   Cook for about 2-3 minutes, until sauce has thickened.

Love the videos (and your recipes) – as stated above, this site is simply the best out there for people doing dukan (and anyone lucky enough to get these meals as well, such as my husband who doesn’t have a clue he’s eating “diet” food!)

Plus you have the sweetest accent – great videos!

    Thanks!!

I’m in Calgary, Alberta Canada and I don’t think you sound Canadian, eh??? I was just assuming that was a sweet California accent – although I really don’t know my U.S. accents very well with the exception of Southern, New York and New Jersey! So now you have to tell!

that’s funny. i say eh because my mom is canadian! she’s from BC. it’s weird, I’m from seattle but i’ve been in santa monica now for over 25 years. people say i sound like i’m from the south…who knows? weird combo, i guess!

    Hi Janice

Can I just say a MASSIVE THANK YOU!!!

Your recipes are so helpful, but the videos are an absolute gem!!! I’ve never really cooked before going on Dukan (use to live on processed micro meals….urrghh) and so many of the cooking terms and phrases written in recipes use to gazump me! But now with the recipes and videos of yours I’m well on my way.(Lost 16.5lbs so far)

I’ve never eaten so well and healthy, and as an absolute bonus I’m now learning to cook too, and I love it. The kitchen is now a place of creating yummy goodies, instead of cream/butter laydened calorie filled foods.

Thank you again so much for your awesome recipes & VIDEOS!!!!!

    Kind regards,
    Bonny :) )) xxx
