Been there and done that a few times. But I’m excited to be doing it again, actually. My eating has been out of control and now i can reel it back in. And I couldn’t do it without meatballs.
This Dukan Diet recipe will not be exciting to those who have been following this blog for years but for any new kids on the block, you won’t believe how much these little gems will help you through the “battle between good and evil: food”, that is. Make a huge batch of these and have them around so you don’t go hungry. Here’s the recipe…Good luck today!!
BACK ON THE DIET MEATBALLS
1/2 lb. ground turkey breast
1/2 lb. ground sirloin
2 T oat bran
1 T Dijon mustard
1/4 cup low or fat free cottage cheese
1-2 chopped jalapenos
2-3 T chopped gherkins
2 T parsley
1/4 cup low or fat free cheese, shredded (optional)
salt and pepper
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl using hands, careful not to handle too much. Form 15 large meatballs and cook at 400 for 20 minutes.
